Petit CN Base contains a set of basic nutrients and in its most active form as L-methylfolate5 (folate/folic acid). A supplementary intake of this nutrient increases the level of maternal folate. A low amount of maternal folate is a risk factor for neural tube defects such as spina bifida in the developing fetus. To obtain this beneficial effect, a supplemental daily intake of 400 µg of folic acid (L-methylfolate) is necessary for at least one month before conception and up to three months after conception. WARNINGS WITH Petit CN Base In some people/children Petit CN Base can intensify the yellow color of the urine (due to the vitamin B2 that has this color), this effect being innocuous. During the first days some people/children may experience a little bloating and gas in the intestine due to the intake of fiber (FOS) and its use by the good bacteria in the body. These symptoms are temporary and disappear with continued intake after 5-7 days, when the intestine is regularized. Natural products and food can also cause intolerance in people sensitive to any of its components.
