Graviola is attributed important properties such as anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiparasitic and hypotensive. Various studies have been carried out, and are being carried out, to discover the existence and extent of the cytotoxic (antitumor) properties of Annonaceae acetogenins, present to a greater or lesser extent in Graviola and other Annonaceae plants.
